A5 Coptic Stitched Special Edition Guest Book

£55.00

Coptic Stitched Binding is one of the oldest known bookbinding methods dating as far back as the 2nd Century to the early Christians living in Egypt called The’ Copts’.

Books made in this way are characterised by an exposed spine revealing a number of signatures bound together by a series of chain link stitches with kettle stitches at the head and tail. Traditionally they are made with hard covers, originally known as ‘boards’ and are able to lay completely flat, making this design particularly suitable for Guest Books.

This Special Edition Guest Book has purple bookcloth hard covers with one of our acrylic inserts displaying the title on the front. The stitching has been skilfully completed, by hand of course, using a purple waxed cotton thread and both the inside front and rear covers have been lined using a fabulous Indian handmade paper in a matching colour.

There are 60 blank pages of quality “Seawhite” cartridge paper for all your guests to write their messages on and for you to add anything else yourselves to prompt responses.
